OUR TERRITORY

In a strip of Umbria located at the hinge between Tuscany and Lazio, there is a small town of about 2500 inhabitants: Fabro.

Its name seems to derive from the Latin “Faber”, meaning “Blacksmith”, one of the most widespread activities in the area and for which the local artisans were also known in the surrounding regions. To reach its historic center, built on the remains of a medieval fortification, one crosses expanses of olive groves and vineyards, hilly stretches and valleys surrounded by lush forests. The Castle of Fabro, converted into the "historic heart" of the town, is the precious testimony of its medieval past; it was built around the year 1000 and then underwent a transformation in the 16th century.

The pretty medieval village of Fabro is located in the center of a larger area where the spontaneous production of truffles is of particular and recognized value. Fabro is in fact appreciated not only for its proximity to Orvieto and other pretty Umbrian villages but also for its food and wine traditions, linked to typical products of excellence such as truffles, wine and olive oil.

Here we were born and here our story continues.
